- No Entry Fees for the competition.
- Short films must have been produced in the year 2010, 2011.

We accept short films submitted only in You Tube, if you are submitting through online.
- Multiple entries from a director/producer is allowed.
- Duration of the film should be between 3(min) and 15(max) minutes including credits.
- The film must be produced in India, for films from abroad the director should be of Indian origin. (Short Film Fest is not open to International film makers)
- Open to all age groups.
- Short film can be made on any genre or theme.
- Submissions must be suitable for all audiences. No nudity, swearing or excessive violence. Films deemed obscene or defamatory will be disqualified.
- All screenings are reserved to the department of by2coffeefilms.
- Two working stills of the shoot or a poster or both should be provided.
- Applicant acknowledges that the work submitted is his/her own creation and it does not include nor infringe any third party intellectual properties.
- Language no bar. English subtitles are mandatory for non-English (portions of) script.
- Film can be submitted either online (preferred) or through postal mail.
- Censorship certificate will not be applicable to any films entered in the festival.
- The festival authorities will reserve the right to retain a DVD copy of the film / video to screen in different cities of India purely on non-commercial purposes.
- Transportation and insurance costs of DVDs, related documents, photographs and publicity materials to the Festival Office shall be borne by the applicant.
- B2C short film festival would be allowed to use all photographs and publicity materials received along with the entry and the same shall not be returned to the entrants.
- Films once submitted for selection will be considered as final. No changes to the submissions will be entertained.
- For promotional / publicity purposes, excerpts from any film entered in the festival may be shown on any Television network / Internet or other media.
- Film festival organizers do not take the responsibility of damage and returning of any DVDs submitted.
- Jury reserves the final decision on the judgment.
